The highest peak in the Stirling Ranges, Bluff Knoll rises to over 1,000 m. While not high by world standards, it rises far above the surrounding plain. The peak is composed mainly of granite, and is vegetated by scrub for most of its elevation. The route to the summit is relatively easy, and can be reached by a trail. Average time to ascend the summit is 6 hours return. Weather on the peak can be unpredictable and summer is generally the best time, winter brings cloudy, wet conditions and the occaisional snowfall.
